The Shield FF is my current choice of netball trainer because, put simply, it's the most stable ASICS shoe I've worn giving me increased confidence for the sharp changes of directions involved in our sport.
It's helped my body not just my netball - in the 12 months before I began wearing this shoe, I had pain and irritation with my knees regularly. I've found the heel raise and strategically placed DuoMax in the Shield have really helped by reducing the load placed on them.
Despite having wider-fitting feet, these trainers are light and responsive and, not only do I feel stable, I feel secure - my foot doesn't move inside the trainer at all, allowing me to focus on the game.
And that is key for me - the Shield gives me the confidence that I can move and play with freedom because I have the support, cushioning, traction and comfort that lets me focus on defending the next attack rather than worrying about my next step.
